Mother of the Bride Beauty Checklist

You’re likely doing all you can to prepare your daughter for her wedding. Don’t forget to pamper yourself as well. Even if you’re not the star, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t feel and look beautiful on your daughter’s wedding day. Prepare yourself for Mother of the Bride duties by following this beauty checklist.

From 5 to 6 months

Schedule an appointment to talk about your skin goals with your dermatologist. It is best to tackle any concerns, such as wrinkles, dark spots, and acne, head-on. Your dermatologist can create a plan of treatment that will include both office procedures and home products. This will ensure you see the best results before you welcome family and friends to your wedding.

Start using treatment products such as brightening crèmes and anti-aging serums. These treatments are best used for six months to achieve the best results. Don’t give up if you do not see results right away.

It is also a good idea to schedule appointments for Botox injections, facials, and waxing, among other procedures. This will give your skin plenty of time for recovery if there is a reaction.

From 3 to 4 months

Keep in touch with your dermatologist and make sure that you are on track to achieve your skincare objectives. Speak up if something doesn’t suit you. Your doctor can adjust your treatment plan.

This is the best time to make a change to your hairstyle or color. You will have plenty of time for you to decide if you like the new style. If you don’t like it, your stylist will help you change it.

From 1 to 2 months

You should schedule your final Botox appointment and any other cosmetic procedure at least a month in advance. This gives you time to do any touch-ups and for any bruising or numbness to heal.

Decide which cosmetics to wear for your daughter’s big day if you haven’t done so already. It would be best if you used liquids and creams instead of mattifying powders, which can dry out the skin and highlight fine lines.

Consider teeth bleaching if you are worried that your pearly whites will look dull in photos.

One week left

Enjoy a pedicure at home! Clarisonic Pedi smoothes and softens rough, callused feet without stepping in a salon. This limited edition set comes with three essential nail polishes for the perfect finish on your toes.

It’s time to book your final waxing appointment. If you wax too close to your wedding, it could cause irritation and redness. Keep your eyebrows in good shape with a tweezer.

Avoid using new products or treatments for your skin. You never know what your skin may react to!

The big day

It’s tempting to try and recreate the look of the Mother of the Bride, but it is important that you feel comfortable in your skin. You will want to feel and look like you, but better! You might want to wear your hair down instead of up and use your favorite makeup instead of trying something new.

Apply a primer that has SPF before applying makeup to keep it in place. This is particularly important if you are going to have the ceremony outside on a warm day.

You’ll need to buy some waterproof makeup for your baby girl.

Do not forget to bring tissues!
