Halloween Makeup for All Skill Levels

Makeup is often a big part of our Halloween costumes. No one wants to have skin irritation or acne from the traditional Halloween face make-up. You can create spooky and fantastical Halloween looks using the skin-friendly makeup that you already own. You’re worried that you lack the skills to create these looks yourself? We’ve outlined step-by-step directions to help you apply the makeup.

Spooky Skeleton Makeup Tutorial for Beginners

Use Basic Black eye pencil to sculpt out your cheeks, from the temples down to your chin. Blend the line towards the jaw for a smokey fade.

Use Basic Black to blacken the nose. Draw on the underside and upwards toward the eyes.

Just outside the lipline, use White eye pencil. Fill in the lips using Basic Black and pull the lip line towards the cheeks. Finish the lips by drawing vertical lines above and below the lip.

Apply Iced Brown A Smooth Affair For Eyes starting at the lashes and working your way up to the brows. Define your lids with Dark Suede. The matte Charcoal Grey shade in our Blue Hour Triple will deepen the outer third.

Use PurePressed (r) Eye Shadow to add dimension to your eyes. Define the inner corners with White PurePressed(r), Eye Shadow. Add a little extra sparkle to your lids with Gold 24Karat Gold Dust.

Complete the look by using lash conditioner, and mascara.

Beginner: Violet Beauregarde Makeup Look

Choose your favorite Jane iredale Foundation to give you a flawless complexion.

Prime the eyelids with Petal A Smooth Affair For Eyes. On the lids, add a layer of matte peach color from sweet spot eye shadow triple. Blend the matte brown shade from sweet spot in the crease. Add dimension to your eye shadow duo by using the pink color from our Sorbet . Then, apply the lightest shade Rose Dawn Bronzer to the corners of your eyes. Follow this with mascara, liner and lash conditioner.

Use the blue color in our Blue Hour Tri-color to create Violet’s purplish, blue nose. Blend the blue shade in a V-shaped pattern on the nose and surrounding area. Add shimmer using Rain, part of the Purple Rain Kit.

Use the smallest strip of Rose Dawn Bronzer to highlight the tip of your nose.

Finish off with your favorite Nude Lipstick.
