All of us have our fears, whether we think that purple eyeshadow is not for us or that bellbottoms are something that should be left to other people. Bright lip color is my thing. I’m a barely-there-lip-color-kind of girl, which is probably why my coworkers came to me with a Triple Luxe Lipstick Challenge. You might say, What’s the challenge?” Triple Luxe looks gorgeous. What’s the challenge? It’s all about the shades. While I usually stick to Molly, I was asked to wear Gwen and Natalie. You can also find out more about the following: Ella Each day, for one full day. What is the goal? The goal was first to see how others reacted when they saw my new bold look. Second, to find out how I would feel wearing something that was so far outside my comfort zone. I was initially intimidated by being asked to wear bright lip colors. But after three days, I might have changed my mind. Please continue reading to find out how I handled my challenge.

Day 1 of the Bright Lip Color Challenge begins.

After trying one of the colors on, my first reaction was, “Wow! I’m not use to this!” But I took the challenge. I was curious about how people would react and how I would feel. I decided to wear Ella Triple Luxe Lipstick first! It’s subtle-bold! The group’s shade. My graphic designer colleague said to me as soon as I entered the room: “I really like your lip color!” It’s been a pretty good start! What are my thoughts on day one? Ella, It might become my new favorite color. It’s already part of my daily lip color rotation.

Day 2: Not seeing red, but wearing it!

Okay, that’s it for day one! Let’s try a bolder lip color: Gwen Triple Luxe Lipstick. The bravest of all reds was intimidating, but I had gotten good feedback the day before. Ella: So I went ahead. You know what else? I didn’t think I would wear it, but I may do so on a night out! It was also awesome when my coworker said, “Those lips look good girl!”

Day 3 – Pretty in HOT pink

The final and last shade was outside my comfort zone. Natalie Triple Luxe Lipstick: It’s a HOT pink! No denying it…it is the epitome of a vibrant lip color. It looked gorgeous! I loved it because it was fun and energetic. It was also the compliment I got most often: “You’re sassy and I love it!” The color was not my first choice, as I had been with the other two shades. But it grew on me over the day.

Everyone Needs to Kiss of Color

It was a great experience to be asked to take part in this challenge. I have been encouraged to try out more lip colors. The brighter lip colors helped me to stand out and not hide behind my neutral shades. I did not have to change anything more than my normal routine. Try a more vibrant shade if you are like me, and usually stick with neutral colors. It’s fun to experiment with something different.
