SkinCeuticals is the leading medical skincare brand

SkinCeuticals has been honored to be named the number one medical skincare brand in the United States. This recognition was made in the report 2020 Kline Professional Skincare U.S. Market Analysis and Opportunities. It has taken decades to achieve this accolade. This achievement was made possible by the pivotal research conducted by Dr. Sheldon Pinnell. He is a dermatologist, professor, SkinCeuticals founder, scientist, and chemist.

The Serums that Started it All

Dr. Pinnell’s work was well respected in dermatology and the skin care industry. His research led to the first vitamin C-based patent in 1992. Duke Antioxidant Patent was named after him because he identified the parameters needed to make an effective topical antioxidant. SkinCeuticals launched its first topical antioxidants, Serum 10 & Serum 15, based on this discovery in 1997.

Dr. Joel Schlessinger is a board-certified dermatologist, CEO of LovelySkin.com, and a dermatologist. He says: “I had the good fortune to have known Dr. Pinnell at this time. It is impossible to overstate his dedication to bringing an entirely new level of rigor to the research for cosmeceuticals. “He was so ahead of his times that even years after his death, new products based upon his ideas continue to be developed and become blockbusters.”

The launch of Phloretin C CF and C E Ferulic marked the first step in the brand’s journey to become the “Antioxidant Authority.” The products were revolutionary at the time when sunscreen was the only environmental protection available.

Partnership with Professionals

SkinCeuticals is committed to developing clinically proven products that live up to their claims. The brand was among the first to work with dermatologists and plastic surgeons, as well as trusted dermatologist-led sites like LovelySkin, to provide advanced skincare products to patients.

This unique partnership set the stage for SkinCeuticals Integrated Skincare, which was introduced in 2004. It allows professionals to create a personalized approach for each patient by combining both at-home and in-office products that work together to provide optimal skin health.

Formulations based on research

SkinCeuticals, which began with just two antioxidant serums, has expanded to include a wide range of products. Many of these were first-of-their kind. The development of every SkinCeuticals product is based on science and research, from SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defence to AOX+ Eye Gel, Triple Lipid Restore Anti-Aging Creme, Silymarin CF, and beyond. The brand is committed to delivering skin care products that are of the highest quality. This includes its formulations and clinical testing.

SkinCeuticals is a brand that was created from the research done on free radicals. The company remains dedicated to learning about other environmental aggressors and their effects on skin. This dedication to “atmospheric aging,” which goes beyond UV ray damage, has given new insights into the effects of infrared (IR-A), ozone pollution, and other environmental aggressors.

In the largest product study ever conducted, C E Ferulic was found to reduce free radical damage from UVA/UVB radiation, ozone, and diesel exhaust emissions by as much as 41% while improving visible signs of sun damage and aging, fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness.
