How to use concealer in four unique ways

Concealer can be used to camouflage a breakout or erase dark circles. If you only use concealer to cover dark circles under your eyes, you are not taking advantage of its full potential. Try these four techniques to see how versatile your concealer is.

Highlighting & Contouring

It’s not just a trend for Instagrammers or YouTubers. Highlighting and contouring is a timeless technique. It’s not necessary to buy a contouring kit if you can use a concealer that has a wand applicator. Here’s how:

Apply a small amount of concealer, slightly darker than the skin tone you have on your face. This should be done directly beneath your cheekbone.

Apply a small amount of concealer to your cheekbones using a concealer two shades lighter.

Blend, blend, and blend again with your fingers, a sponge, or a beauty blender. Then admire your beautifully chiseled cheekbones.

Eyeshadow Primer

Love a shimmery or bright eye shadow? Your favorite concealer can double as an eyeshadow primer to give your eye color the staying power it needs for a full day. This concealer’s creamy, tacky consistency acts like a virtual Velcro, holding your eye shadow in place for a long-lasting effect.

Use your fingertip to pat a little concealer on the eyelid gently

Please wait for it to set before you apply your eyeshadow as usual. Unlock the power of staying!

Lip Primer

You may have loved the color of lipstick in its tube, but it didn’t look as good on your lips. Concealer can be used as a lip primer to give your lipstick an empty canvas. This will allow you to achieve a more vibrant, intense color.

Swipe some concealer on your lips.

Use your fingertips to pat the product.

Use your lipstick to make the color pop.

Lip Liner Bonus

It’s hot to rock a bold lip color, but it can be a pain when the bright colors bleed outside of your lip line. You can keep your lip color from fading or feathering by using a liquid or cream concealer.

Outline your natural lip line using concealer and a precision lip brush.

Blend well to prevent any harsh lines.

Apply your favorite lipstick to feather-free lips all day.
