How to Makeup Short Hair Easily

You may wonder how to make the most of your fall pixie cut, bob, or lob. You may want to go all out with the makeup since you don’t have long hair to style anymore. But, in reality, too much makeup can clash with your new look. Kristen, LovelySkin’s Aesthetician, shows a quick makeup routine for short hair. She is demonstrating it on LovelySkin Web designer Alonna.

Apply a matte foundation to start the look. If you have normal or dry skin, choose a liquid foundation. For normal to oily complexions, opt for a powder. Kristen uses the Youngblood Mineral Liquid Foundation for Alonna. You can use a clean makeup sponge, brush, or your fingers to apply the product. Be sure to blend any lines. Do not forget to apply a small amount down your neck. This will give you a uniform look.

You can use a mineral foundation to achieve a flawless look and further refine the skin. Powder will help you achieve a longer-lasting makeup look and set your makeup. Kristen uses Jane-Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation, a shade of Warm Silk.

Your complexion should now appear uniform and matte. Now, it’s time to add some color by adding a blush. Kristen uses Youngblood Blush Tulip for a natural glow. Use a blush brush and a light hand to apply the blush.

The eyes are next. Here, subtlety is the key. You want to define and enhance your eyes but not overwhelm your hair or makeup. Choose a neutral eyeshadow, like a taupe or nude shade. We love GloEye shadow shade Fawn. Then, apply a liquid black eyeliner like Blink Liquid Eyeliner to the entire eyelid. The liquid liners are more pigmented and last longer than gels or pencils. You can use the pen only to line the top lash line, and you can flick out the ends if desired for a cat-eye. Add a few coats of mascara to your eyes. Youngblood Mineral Lengthening Maskcara is one of our favorites.

Lip color can be a great way to show off your personality. You can wear anything, from a classic shade of red to a berry-deep color to a coral pink. You can wear whatever you like as long as it makes you happy. Kristen uses the Glo Minerals Cream Glaze Crayon Dahlia. It’s a fun magenta shade.

That’s it! With your new short ‘do, you’re ready to go for the day at work or a night out.
