Let your inner rockstar shine. This simple Halloween makeup tutorial will show you how to create a star look using metallic shades and bold makeup. You’ll look like a rock star if you follow these simple steps.
Use an eyelid primer first to hold your dark shadow. bareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer was used for this tutorial. After you have covered your entire lid with the primer, apply a dark purple eyeshadow such as GloEye Shadow Eggplant at the outer corners. Blend the line well into your crease. Apply a metallic silver shadow such as Jane Iredale 24-K Gold Dust in Sterling on the middle of your lid. For a more glamorous look, gently pat the color on your top.
Apply a thick black line of liquid eyeliner to the top lash line (we used Jane Iredale Black Liquid Eyeliner). For a more edgy appearance, flick the line slightly out at the end. Line your waterline with black eyeliner like Jane Iredale Basic Black. Sharpen your pencil before you use it to avoid contamination or irritation. Then, apply two coats of volumizing mascara, such as Glo Mineral Lash Boosting Mascara.
Blend well a blush that is natural on your cheeks. Dust a shimmery, silver powder on your cheekbones to give it a little extra sparkle.
Line your lips using a dark berry color like Jane Iredale’s lip-defining pencil in Berry. Fill in the lips with a lighter shade of lipstick. For this look, we selected Mirabella Colour Vinyl Lipstick Pink Polish. You will get a star-like pout, and your lips will be defined. Purse the lips several times to soften the harsh lines and blend the lip liner into the lipstick.
Finish off your look by rocking a wild, wacky hairstyle. Use a styling paste to create spiky, messy hair ends. Or use a hairspray that thickens and a teasing comb for a more dramatic look. Choose your favorite rockstar outfit. The more leather, spikes, and rhinestones, the better!
