Laneige Sleeping Mask Lip

The Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask is a beauty product that has been long overdue at The Hungarian Brunette. I have my third jar, and I love it. I also use it nightly.

The Lip Sleeping Mask is extremely popular (I would not be surprised to see it as Laneige’s top seller), and there is good reason!

Apply the lip balm at night before you go to bed. You will wake up with soft, hydrated lips. I do not need as much lip balm when I apply it at night. This is because my skin regenerates over the night. This is why I consider it a treatment rather than a balm.

It does not mean that I do not use it throughout the day. I have just returned from a Utah trip to see Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon. My lips were parched after I applied lip balm every day. The combination of the desert heat and the air conditioning in the car is a recipe for disaster with lips and skin.

On Monday, I continued to apply the mask for a few hours. By the end of the day, my lips were back to normal, plump, and hydrated.

Three flavors are available: the original smells like berries, vanilla; and Apple Lime. Although I have only purchased the original, I’ve heard that many people prefer the Vanilla scent. If I had to choose between the two, the original smells very similar to Berry Lip Glowy Balm. However, if you’re looking for more variety, you can always get the balm or mask in a different flavor.

While we are comparing the Lip Glowy balm and the Lip Sleeping mask, I need to point out one detail: the balm costs $15 for 10g, and the mask $20 for 20g. Both are great because they make me feel more comfortable applying the mask while out. Although the applicator is great, it is something that I use sparingly. Also, I do not particularly appreciate getting my hands dirty in the jar while I am out. It is lighter than a balm/gloss and should not be used on the lips. This is not an issue if the mask is used sparingly or if your skin is light. However, the balm might look better if you prefer a thicker coat of product or have darker skin tones. It gives the lips a subtle tint and shines a lot.

Both are great for keeping your lips hydrated and healthy.
